Will a dirty encoder strip cause just one color to have overspray and not others, and if so do you leave the machine plugged in or unplug it when you clean the encoder.

Dont have experience with rolands, but in any machine, if the encoder strip is dirty, it will affect every color, not just one, as the encoder strip is what gives the print head its location/position in the Y direction (left/right)

and with any machine again, if your going to clean that strip, its a good idea to turn it off.
