Hockey Decals

Hi Guys,

I've got a hockey rink asking me to make them some advertising signs that will be down on the boards next to rink. What type of vinyl would be good for this, since players will be smashing into them, scuffing them, slamming pucks against them, etc...

I have done this several times.
I usually give them a couple options. Lower options and higher options. Most of the scuffs are direct hits not rubbing. A cheap rapid air type with lam is my best option. They are selling these for advertising so they are going to go with the cheapest bid 9 times out of 10. And most of the time they are somewhat temporary. If you go with a expensive material most of the time you wont get the bid. If you are removing and maintaining it think about removal. I have even done them without lam because they were up so short. and most of the marks were marks that would of ripped or cut anything besides floor graphics. My lower quality options will probably not be popular with some here, but they only have so much to budget for the actual print. Be careful with who is paying, 2 times it was a organization that we had to go after for payment. I think one of those was a indoor football league but still...

edit: if you are not installing them make sure who is paying sees the material prior to them installing. We had a issue with the customer installing and messing it up and claiming the bubbles were in the material before they installed.
