It will depend on what type of material you are going to use.
I would do a search here on the forum for french cleat to get started.

so many ways to go.

If I knew of a book, I'd definately share that info with you. As for the picture you posted, I would bet that building has an access panel, either above the store's drop ceiling, or an access door above the sidewalk.

Get up there and check it out. Good luck.

Thank you guys SO MUCH ! for the quick responses....Yes i knew it would depend on the type of signage. I was thinking foam and just becuase it's lightweight and i know i can use adhesive to attach it to a wall. But most people want them cabinets and i do have my business licence.I just usually stay away from these type's of installs i was just curious of the different types of installs on this type of surface.I have had good luck working with foam. Here's a sign i just finished, it's hand cut and carved as well as painted.

....I understand and have compassion towards any suffering someone is going thru'...BUT I DID NOT MENTION PERCY OR HIS HARDTIMES'...if you a do brief study of the sword and serpent you will learn its of its pagan descent. as well as the cross with the "halo"..its not the cross' cross you know what i mean...but i do know most people are not aware of that....so if you think the sword and serpent represent "medicine"...then so be it....and to anybody i DID NOT mean to disrespect "percy"....but you can see how that one persons childish response to MY thread can trigger an event of misconseption....I simply asked for advice and help...you do know of the druid's and mason's right?

That's a Dryvit surface. Like Skyhigh said, there is going to be an access panel either on the sidewalk side or from in the storefront to that soffit. There usually is a panel of plywood behind dryvit, but not always. If there is, you're good to go with long deck screws as long as the sign is very light. If there isn't... long studs backed with very wide washers lightly tightened should do the trick. You'll need someone in the soffit to do that, obviously!

You need to know what is behind the stuco... I would use dibond as the sign face over foam and mount with french cleat and anchor accordingly with proper mounting hardware, use silicone in holes to hold sign in place.
