how do I get my scanner to work on windows 7?

I just realized I had to install my scanner into my new comp. went to HP web site and it seems they have no drivers for windows 7 and my scanner.
is that it then SOL?

Not sure why I bought this operating system....really

What I had to do was find something else that had similar drivers and use those... and it worked fine. but the way you install the hardware is a lil different. when you plug it in if you go to devices & pritners and add a device and go through that, you can get other things installed. If not using it in compatiblity mode... You should be able to get it to work my printer/scanner and other stuff is from around 2002/2003...so its pretty old.
