What rip are you using? Generally, you need to name/set the plotter in the rip your printing from.

I WILL TEST ONYX BUT I'M NOT SURE IF IT'S WORTH THE INVESTMENT.

You can use Flexi. They have a monthly subscription and the summa with barcode works. That is what we use and we also have a Mimaki.

We just set ours up with Onyx, really easy. I think Onyx is in the $4k range to buy or $100 per month sub. Make sure your summa is able to do barcodes in its setting, you also have to register with Summa to get code to activate the feature - do this before buying Onyx.
