How to attach banner over windows?

Stacey K

Window area is 4'x15' and the windows are basically flush with the wall, only protruding about 1/2". The customer asked about suction cups, which I don't think will work.

We are making it two sided so will be 18oz. (side 1, we are moving - side 2, we've moved). Could I use some kind of two-sided tape to the glass then remove the adhesive after?

Suction cups will work and will hold over mullions too. This one was a polyester fabric banner but we've done it with regular 13 oz vinyl scrim banners too. We use ones that are 2.5" diameter.

OK - thanks! Good to see they actually work. I will suggest the ones that were in the Amazon link since my banner will be larger and heavier than this dollar store one.

Pole pocket top and bottom of banner with rope and secure to left and right of window. Several additional attachments to top of window over banner width. Use perf banner material to let light in.

Suction cups - No, simply no.

Double sided banner for this isn't cheap. Two 13 oz banners will work ok and will cost much less than double sided 18 oz. It's a we're moving banner - it won't have to last that long. They won't be using it again.

Don't know who voted Bob as handsome... disagree with the first part of his handsome bobs advice.
but I do agree with the second part about using two 13 oz banners rather than trying to make a two-sided banner. IDK about your cost on it, that's our call - just my two cents.
The handsome call is up to Stacey :p

A little food for thought, go with the lighter weight banner and since you will probably be flipping the banner for the other side, just make a vinyl overlay to just cover the area of "are moving" with " 've moved". When you are there to flip it, take it down ad the section of overlay and rehang it. As someone said this isn't long term and would save you the cost of the ink for the full side print for the double sided print or the cost of a second banner as some suggested. Just throwing out another idea/option.
