How to remove this face?

Colorburst

I need to remove and replace the faces in this sign. It is about 15' to the top of this sign. The top retaining clips are in several pieces. I'm thinking I should remove the top clips up to the point that is the tallest and the side retainer on the same side and I could slide the faces out and slide in the new faces and replace the clips. Does this make sense? Is there a better way? Any problems?
Thanks

Thanks, I thought about the bottom but doing it myself, I thought it might be tougher to undo the screws while trying to hold the face in so it did not fall uncontrolled out of the frame. You know that gravity thing.

Can't tell from looking, but I would think most fabricators would put a 90 degree bend on the bottom for a retainer, but who knows these days.

I can't really tell what you have by the pic. If it is a flat acrylic/lexan face then you might put the suction cups on the mountain area and tie them to the structure above with a couple straps. If you are careful this will hold so that you can get the bottom retainer off and slip it down that way. Sign service gets a little un-orthodox at times, just be careful.

I gotta say.. your cups have to be the good ones. Not the harbor freight deal. Good ones cost a few hundred dollars a pair but they save you and your insurance company many thousands.
