Hello,
I am new too printing and got an HP l25500 for $100 since it is discontinued I had a problem with a few of the print heads being dead (i have new printheads). I was wondering if there is a way to interpret the printhead alignment sheet for example no bottom cyan means printhead 2 or no top magenta means printhead 5 etc..

4 and 6 look ok but not great...rest need changed..or you could use menu and clean a few times 'all heads'...see what way it turns out

well if you look at numbers on the print that will correspond with printhead
Does each "line" only color in one corresponding print head I'm confused why 4 and 6 look perfect in one space but its not in any other 4 + 6 spaces (hopefully I'm making sense with the photos)

Thank you for the help. I got new remanufactured printheads and backups now when ever I replace the printheads it will read them check the system and preheat when "preparing to print" but as soon as it actually starts to print I get 76.04 ... restart. Any ideas? I tried ERROM reset/clear.

Are you sure it's 76:04? Can't find anything with that. You mean 79:04?
Make sure your FW is the newest version.

It may of been 79.04, firmware is up too date I messed with it a lot today. I have it printing decent, this is what i believe the problem was it was throwing the code for the printhead i read awhile ago the Chinese printheads are ok but they fill them with bad ink (not viscous enough) and it was dumbing just black/key ink so I soaked the printhead in water/alc cleaned contacts and it fixed the dumping, i did the manual ph align this time everything worked after i fixed the dumping. but I still have some banding on the printhead alignment sheet but none on regular printing 600dpi, is that normal since there are more passes? sorry for the noob questions, but thank you for helping.

so...
printer was working but nozzle test poor

change heads now get error

if you still have the chips of old heads you can
swap them onto new heads...carefully and exact placement
ONE AT A TIME so you dont get them mixed up

then try printing
