Long time reader first time poster, currently having a printer problem I cannot seem to solve.
We had the Maintenance Kit #3 done on one of our Latex 315 printers back in February. Since then we have been having frequent curing module failures (16.41:10, 16.42:10, 16.43:10). We didn't catch the issue till about March as they had apparently brought in either the wrong type of curing module or fan when doing the cleaning kit and we had to wait for the correct one.
It is seemingly random when the modules decide to fail and which one fails. Sometimes it works fine for a whole day, sometimes one will fail mid print, sometimes one will fail basically the second the print goes from the production manager to the printer. Sometimes you can send the same print twice in a row and it will fail the first time and then print without problem the second time. Module #2 was just replaced less than a week ago and has been the most frequent one to fail since it was replaced.
The modules have no defects that I have observed, they are all brand new, the coils have not come off the connection, the wires all look fine, the fans look fine.
The only other thing that might be affecting it would be that this printer is the closest to where the HVAC pumps out the air conditioning/heating for the warehouse so one side of the printer is getting colder/hotter than the other. I find this unlikely though as this printer has been in the same spot of the warehouse for almost two years so it has been through changes in temperature during multiple changes of seasons without having this issue.
The techs who service our printers have now replaced every single curing module at least once and we are still getting the errors. I keep trying to tell them something else is going on but they keep just replacing the curing modules. Is there anything I can do to diagnose the underlying issue and either present it to the techs and hope they fix it or just fix it myself? I am at my wits end with this printer, we can hardly use it because it is so unpredictable in its failures.
