HP Latex 365

I found a HP Latex 365 for sale on consignment that was bought in 2021. I have heard rumor that HP might discontinue the ink. Is there any truth to that or would this printer still be a good option for buying a printer in 2026?

Depends in how long you intend to use it. Five years will be ok, ten maybe not.
Some here seem to still use over 20 year old Roland SP-300...

haven't heard anything about this model being phased out anytime soon.
as stated above, 5 years should be fine but i'm also pessimistic about 10.

there are shops out there useing HP360s (which are the same ink as the 365) so I doubt they'll try to stop manufacturing inks that serve them

Install base of 300 series vs newer gen machines for HP is not were it should be, 300/500 series are all over the place. HP would shoot themsevles in the foot if they were to stop producing supplies for the 300/500's.
I have been wondering what they will do, but then again, manufacturers sometimes do the stupidest things.

Hi Caroline, Yes they are. We have the letter from our rep that all consumables will be discontinued summer of 2027. You can prepurchase consumables before they are discontinued, or potentially run off brand inks, if you are ok with that. We ran our first HP for over a year after the consumables were discontinued and then upgraded to the 365....looks like we will be doing the same thing again. A tad frustrating as our 365 works awesome....

Can you share that letter?
I don't think it's completely true. Maybe your reseller will stop but I haven't seen the official date from HP yet.

That's not even the 3X5 series, so I guess we'll continue to get parts for the 3X0 series, apart for the Engine PCA.
