HP Latex Printer Not Cooperating with Certain Materials Regardless of Adjusting ICC Profile Settings

Been running HP Latex printers for 6–8 years using mostly 3M, Avery, and GF for adhesive vinyl (with some Briteline/Orajet here and there).

Lately we’ve been getting a lot of short-term wall graphic jobs (1-day events), so I picked up Orajet 3621 for better price point & easier removal vs IJ40.

Issue is… the printer does not like this material. I’m either getting ink not curing properly or the media starts cockling/buckling.

I’ve been adjusting ICC profiles, but haven’t found a sweet spot yet.

Anyone running Orajet 3621 on HP Latex have profile recommendations or settings that work? Or general tips to prevent cockling and improve curing?

Appreciate any insight

Go Bills!
I've used 3621 sparingly over the last few years with HP315's, never had an issue until the last roll. Ink setting don't work like they used to and buckling at heat settings I've used 100's of times.

It is not the ICC profiles you need to adjust it is the Media Preset. Once you get that dialed in then create an ICC Profile.

I run all of our materials the same we run avery wrap material. I know that doesn't sound like the right thing to do, but it works more often than not. Anytime we deal with buckling (40c is a consistent culprit of that) I just run the material out to start it on the take up reel and force the roll in the takeup position so there is consistent tension on the vinyl before it start to print. This will make sure that it doesnt get stuck on the vacuums. (at least thats what it appears to happen most of the time when buckling occurs. )
Theres only a few of the PEG stuff that I cant run like this through our HPs, and for those I check the server for a profile that works for those.
You may also want to check the curing temperatures that are set for that profile, and adjust them. Also want to check whether or not that material is good for Latex ink. I would assume it is since other people here are mentioning using it, but some of the materials don't like latex ink at all.
