HP5100 Major Banding issue + Weird White Ripple

Dear All,

I've just recently purchased HP Designjet 5100 and I'm experiencing major banding issue plus a weird white ripple across the print. I've tried changing the printhead, to no help. Any comments/ideas/suggestions??

It looks like the banding is perpendicular to the printhead strokes. If so, it may be a poor coating on the stock. Have you tested another substrate with the same file?

I have try on quite a few media types... Same problem... I sent the media to a friend's printer n it printed fine. My friend is saying it could be a fault at the printer, but since I just bought it, new, less than a month ago, I find it hard to believe hp printer would be that unreliable.

If you bought it new less than a month ago you should be talking to your sales guy.
