I am currently using Versaworks and a Roland VP540. I am wanting to create my own profiles. Any suggestions on the brand and model of equipment to get this done?

X-Rite i1 Publish Pro 2, This is what you need if you want to be able to create a profile from scratch.

What is the main difference? I have reviewed both products and one is $500 and the other $2000. Will the Munki create accurate profiles for my Roland printer? All I want to do is calibrate my monitor and make custom profiles for my printer.

The Munki does not create profiles. You need the iOne to do that.

Eye one is the way to go. Quite a learning curve figuring out how to do a profile properly, I get better results paying a pro to come in and do them.
