Aren't these things locked to their software and require a subscription for basic functionality?for those you can't afford a small Graphtec or similar, and want to go off and do something on the side. why not.
You pretty much just answered your own question. The Cricut has their own software that will aid you though out the whole process. sure it's simple and if you want more there's a subscription.Aren't these things locked to their software and require a subscription for basic functionality?
Plus, for less than $300, you can pick up some jank from us cutter that is not locked in a sandbox, but I reckon you still need to get something like corel to drive it.

If you pick up a cheap vinyl cutter. Now you need software, the plugins etc. what do you choose? Adobe? Subscription, Corel? $500. (more than the cutter). say your friend got you the software free no questions asked. now you have no idea and no guidance on how any of it works. youtube, forum. etc....
Do you see where im going with this?
Sure everyone here knows how to use a vinyl cutter. but im sure hands down when everyone started, it was a lot of messing about getting it to work. ''\
$300, a basic cutter and you'll be making stickers from your phone, ipad, laptop. easily. i dont see the problem here.
She would kill me...she has no interest in a side gig but that would be the easiest option for me!Why not send them to your sister ?
You want another one? LOL I have a Uninet. I gave up on trying to figure it outWhile the cricut stuff is a crazy racket and their materials and consumables are obscene, still nothing compared to the hustle moms selling $20K DTF setups to people. Gotten so many printers for almost nothing as a result of that racket.
I work on those. You want another one? LOL I have a Uninet. I gave up on trying to figure it out
Holy hell, $0.43 per ml/$430 per liter for ink. If I were to hazard a guess, it's just a printer based on an XP600 head. And now you can also have a desktop uv printer!

I figured it was something fairly generic, and the base printer is actually fairly affordable, but that ink cost is wild. One person on reddit said printing the full bed with raised inks can push past $100. Like, you may find someone to pay $100 for something custom like this, but I doubt you'd find anyone to buy it after a typical markup, let alone base substrate.Holy hell, $0.43 per ml/$430 per liter for ink.
