Hey, everyone. I'm looking to create a regular panel of independent technicians for my Practical Printer YouTube show I am creating. I also have a global show called "Print Island" that this idea might translate into once I have the proof of concept.

Simple idea: talk freely about things in the industry that you appreciate, and things that drive you all nuts. I'll moderate. Happy to use the platform to give you visibility in your region and on the products you service. Be yourself, be salty, but keep the conversation on the PG-13 end.

I'm not a technician by trade. But, owning a shop on an island in the Caribbean meant I had to learn how to be one. Over the years, I became proficient at performing all service/repairs on my fleet of Bizhubs along with the Canon and Mimaki large format printers we had. I think your YouTube show is a fantastic idea and I'll definitely tune in. I learned almost everything about servicing my machines from YouTube! I'm semi-retired now and successfully transitioned to a print/sign/promo/shirt reseller now. Where do I find your Print Island site?

Print Island will launch 3rd week of June. Just got my Practical Printer up and rolling again. Thanks for kind words. We hope the show fills a gap out there.

Hey, I've worked on of those 720s before. But to be fair this was like a year ago. The guy who owned that shop seemed content to run anything that was under 40 years old as long as he could keep enough tape on it to hold things together.

Naw, but I run a constant disinformation campaign on myself. Between being the third with my name, having no facebook, and 90% of google results of my name are based on my own sporadic searches of 'jburton for president', 'why do ladies love cool jburton', and 'jburton spotted in new zealand', etc, I doubt the CIA could find my lean-to nor my buried gold...
