installation in a doorway

We are looking to hang a wooden sign from a doorway and we are looking for some bracket ideas.
We like all hardware to be as hidden as possible and have the sign not swing at all.
Most signage we hang is from threaded studs that have been mounted within the sign panel -- please see attached image for reference.
The doorway that we are installing in has no existing hardware or brackets and is and older wood building -- again please see image for reference.

Any ideas on how to best mount to the doorway? Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

You want the sign to be non-moving and do so without seeing any hardware and have the location in the doorway?

Paint the hardware the color of the trim so it blends in and more difficult to see.
OR
move the sign to in front of the column, now treat the sign as a stand-off mount.
This will keep the hardware behind the sign and close enough to the doorway for referencing

Where you have that sign placed.... will there be ample room for someone to walk there without hitting their head ??

Here is a thought on how you may do that...get some flat stock aluminum, bend it 90 degrees and screw it into the sides of the sign and into the top of the doorway.
