JV3 Problems

Hello Everyone!

I've been following many posts here, just now registered. We have a Mimaki JV3-75SPII and are having some major problems. We have also run into some unreliable techs. Any help you can offer would be terrific! Here's the info:

Cyan-Only printed 1/2 of test print. Then it proceeded to basically get worse, with the missing print moving around on the test print. After cleanings, new parts, etc., the missing sections vary.

Here's what we've done: MANY cleanings, replaced caps, replaced print head, replaced pumps, replaced tubing.

Same problem...nothing has seemed to affect it. I did have one technician see some positive results after aligning the capping station and manually suctioning ink through lines. Then iT fell out again and we're back to square one!

My opinion is that it is sucking air somewhere. I just can't figure out where! I checked the needle/valve area where the cartridge inserts and it appears ok. Has anyone had a problem in this area? This is about the only thing we haven't replaced. But I haven't been able to locate this part online.

This machine has been down for waaayyyy tooooo long and I'm about to go mad trying to fix it.:frustrated: If you have any suggestions, I would sure like to hear them. THANKS!!

Capping station not making a seal with the head and worth checking your lines for an air bubble as well

Thanks. Dampers have been changed also. The tech adjusted the capping station. That's when it started to get a little better, then it fell out again. We can use the syringe to pull ink all the way through the pump, but after just a couple of lines of printing it loses ink again.

The area on the test print that is missing actual does not stay in the same place. As we clean or change parts, etc. the area will move. It's not just one side anymore, it's the entire print area.

I really appreciate your suggestions.

it's not something like your lines from the cartrigde are half clogged and have bits breaking off and clogging dampers. i had this happen with the orginal OEM Black ink. had to wash all the lines clean then start again with drawing ink through.

myself i would also be looking again at the capping station just in case. can you swap caps from another one to see if the problem moves as well?
