JV33 Printing Weird Ovals

Hello,

I have been messing around with my New Mimaki JV33, and see these weird ovals on my prints. Only does it where the Cyan is right now, but for the life of me can't figure out where.

Done some cleanings, but I'm new to this so maybe I'm missing something?

Is it maybe the media? It's a premium gloss poster material....

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Take a look at the images:

I would have to agree. This is what the Mimaki engineer that trained me refers to as "cockring" (cockling) of the media due to heat. Some media are sensitive to even moderate heat settings. Setting the pre heat a bit higher than the print heat can help, but I would lower both. It is a common misconception that increasing the tension on the take up motor will help. It only makes things worse and can prematurely wear the clutch.
