Laser Engraver inquiry

Good morning!

We are wanting to buy a laser engraver and would like to know if anyone has any recommendations? We are looking at BOSS, Epilog, Laguna and AEON.

We just added an AEON Nova 10 a few weeks ago. Upgraded from a Full Spectrum. No complaints so far. It did take the better part of 6 months to get it here.

Really need more info about what the machine will be used for, bed size, budget etc. Check with Trotec and Epilog and they can give you recommendations based on your needs. Regardless of the brand pay attention to the exhaust and build in more flow.

We have a Laguna 150w, and while the laser is fine, I would not buy from them again. Their customer service and support has been abysmal for us. Our neighbor has a Boss system and they are happy with everything. I believe both Laguna and Boss are basically Chinese lasers that have been rebranded.

I've had an Epilog laser for over 20 years. It's been a solid workhorse. American company. You get what you pay for.

I have a diode laser for personal use and love it. I mostly do wood, leather, tile but it also does ACP really well! It's the most cost effective type of laser. However with signs, you likely want a CO2 laser. "CO2 lasers are generally the best choice for cutting acrylic, offering clean edges, high precision, and the ability to cut both colored and clear sheets efficiently." I spent about 40 hours watching youtube videos on reviews before I decided on a brand & how many watts to get as well. Good luck!
