thinking of gatorfoam, clear gorilla glue, white acrylic coat and LED’s.... am I on the right track or any other suggestions?
This is an experiment for my church so you know there is no budget so I need a light, sturdy material that I can cut by hand. Letters will be 3’ high

Gatorfoam painted white may be fine by itself. If you want heavier use 1/2" white PVC. You are going to use LEDS that look like little lightbulbs?
