I am looking for some assistance with my Mimaki CJV30-100.
Yesterday there was a scheduled municipal power shutdown for maintenance in our area. This morning, while the printer was in use, the power tripped unexpectedly, and I suspect there may have been a power surge through the machine.
Since then, the printer powers up normally with no error messages. It passes the internal test print, RasterLink communicates correctly, and it receives print jobs without any issues.
The problem is with the heaters. The PRE and PRINT heaters will not reach their set temperatures, while the POST heater reaches and maintains its set temperature normally. Because the PRE and PRINT heaters do not reach temperature, the printer remains on "Temperature Control – Please Wait."
As a temporary workaround, I lowered the PRE and PRINT heater settings, which allows the printer to print. However, the prints come out tacky and require extended drying time due to the lower heater temperatures.
I have already had an electrician test the wall outlet and power supply to the printer, and they confirmed there are no faults with the plug or wiring.
Any idea what could be broken blown or needing replacement before I open the machine, everything else works 100% fine.
