Need Help Mutoh 1204 print head

Quick questions. I took apart the print head assembly to give it a good cleaning and a metal clip and sprint popped out before I could see where it went. I think I have the sprint in the right place but can't figure out the clip. Also is there a better way to clean the print head without removing everything. Thank yo for the help.
