need advice on painting plastic?

im redoing a labatts can shaped fridge and its all plastic do i scuff it with a scotch brite pad or sandpaper? and im going to wrap it but want to put a base color down for the hard parts was going to use krylon fusion for plastic what do u suggest?

Meh, fusion would work. Don't know how it'll handle the vinyl though. I used to use Bulldog adhesion promoter, then mix in a flex agent to automotive paint, and use a good 2 part clear coat over the top. Works like a charm.

Just as Flamey said, but I'd skip all the paint and just give it a coat or two of clear. Save yourself some headaches and time.
