We emailed an estimate :) We run a 7mil Weatherproof Tear Resistant Vinyl Poster material with a matte finish, and we run them with Overcoat instead of lamination, for maximum cost efficiency.

Out of curiosity, we checked Indigo Ink (suggested above) and they're pricing is OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

Not indigo ink, indigo printing press. This should not be printed large format. Digital will be half the price

Not to throw everyone in here under the bus, but I've learned a lot and gotten many great ideas and answers on these forums and so I think educating the masses is more important than someone overpaying for this job.

I've been in printing (which is a slightly different industry than sign making) for 25 years. I've done offset, large format and digital printing this entire time.

I understand that all the vendors here with strictly large format presses are going to do this on inkjets. However at this quantity and because this size can be done digitally, doing so will be half the price and slightly better quality (although with the modem print heads quality is somewhat negligible)

If you haven't yet gotten a digital quote reach out to me I'll get you a quote on an indigo so the job can be done correctly. This is kind of like the people at home that try to do 500 shirts on a cricut because that's all they have even though it can be done for less cost on a screen printing press but they refuse to outsource.

So I have no idea on indigo type prices and I'm curios. I quote $1.5 / sq ft on this with shipping included, Synaps is around 70 cents, I'm sure there are way cheaper materials available if doing using this type of material on a daily basis.

How does indigo generally compare to the above?
