This sounds nice, but at the same time is wholly dependent on the physical organization of drops. I'm probably a pessimist here, as I cut my teeth dealing with a router and drops, and while I kept a stash of semi significant drops, I'd only pull on that stash if we were in a time crunch, or if someone was trying to sell something cheaper by saying they used 'scrap' material as opposed to 'new'.

Thanks Pauly, appreciate you saving me the trouble of finding out what the cost is.

That price does seem pretty reasonable assuming it's actually a lifetime license and doesn't have to be upgraded or renewed down the road.

i autoNest with SAI Enroute for my CNC files
not a fan of their subscription platform, however, I purchased their original software ~10yrs ago but occasionally run their newer 3D enabled version for a month at a time when we have projects that require slicing/3Dtoolpathing.

Considering Griffin is about $4000 yearly. its very reasonable.

vectric vcarve pro. I also save partial sheets of larger letters and with the software I can nest in spaces that remain of a used sheet. I think Im the only one that does this because it is a little tricky.

Hey, just wanted to share a trick for nesting in VCarve Pro when you’re working off a used sheet. Since VCarve won’t let you nest inside already-nested areas, here’s the workaround I use:

I take all the letters already cut on the sheet, offset them slightly, then put a big rectangle around the whole sheet. I group that rectangle with the offset letters so VCarve treats it as one vector. Then I use the “nest inside last vector selected” option, select that grouped boundary last, and it nests the new letters in all the open spaces. The small offset gives a little cushion in case the sheet doesn’t go back in the exact same position.
