But, remember . . . heavy and awkward signs are not always installed indoors. Sometimes the ground can be dirt, grass, gravel, behind bushes or hedges, or just plain nasty. So wheels and rollers are not always a viable option.

We have an exterior style one with fold out legs that goes something like 16' high, and that is the look on your face when you're on the ground cranking the winch, watching the whole thing rock as you're trying to crank smoothly.
Ya know the look, like panic behind the eyes, but trying to keep your cool.
But yeah, for heavy awkward signs outdoors, I vote crane or jib on basket.

I know the look/feeling, biggest cabinet I have done with a cranklift was 8x12 double sided. Definately some pucker factor, but not terrible on a calm day.

I used to dream of a CNC rigged to a boom, the idea was to float the CNC on its side to the sign area, then execute a program to drill all of the mounting holes...
Some folks just want to make things easier/more complicated.

did you see the guy that used meta VR to drill a pattern? i thought that was cool, but it took him a long time to get the pattern flat to the wall.. he lost me there.

Actually there is a time limit. Not sure what it is, but Stacey figured it out a while back. She tried to go back about a week, or maybe it was just a few days but she couldn't edit her post.
