New Pattern help

I'm trying to create a simple checkerboard fill pattern in FlexiPro 7.62. I can edit existing fill patterns, and save them with new names, but I can't figure how to create the pattern itself. In Corel, you could just import a bitmap, or create a bitmap right from the dialog box, but I can't find any of that in flexi.

Thanks, stevelv, but that just explains how to save a modified pattern under a new name. I need to create a whole new pattern, and then save it.

OK, I found it on their website. You highlight the objects you want to use as a new pattern, then right-click on the swatch table, choose define Pattern, and your pattern will be added to the swatch table.
