Newbie with an SP 300V Yellow not Printing

Greetings 101'rs. I'm new to digital printers but having used Roland cutters for the past 15 years I felt I should continue with a known quality machine as I enter digital. I bought this printer and the man said "there was some streaking on one of the heads but it probably just needed a good cleaning" I tried many regular cleanings and manual cleaning also to no effect (see first test print on left). Then replaced magenta/yellow captop and after a couple powerful cleanings I now have magenta printing pretty well. the problem seems to be the yellow is clogged somewhere. any Ideas on what might be going on and how I might proceed? Thank you in advance for your help - Chris

I would first change cap tops, dampers, wipers & wiper scraper then test to see where your at.
Your test print looks like it's time for a couple of new print heads though.

Most likely the yellow nozzles are clogged from sitting too long without a cleaning. As stated above, I would change the dampers and check the pump for clogs. You may have to run a head soak and/or flush the head to get the nozzles back.

I replaced the captops, and dampers to no effect and was able to draw yellow ink into the new damper with a vacuum syringe. (wipers still on order) I have searched for "Head Flush" but can't find info on that. I have two cleaning cartridges that I assume is what they are for. I guess I should hold off on the head flush until I have replaced the wiper-scrapers.
