I'd be willing to bet the farm that he's been working on new inventions. Probably hobnobbing around with Musk, Branson and Bezos. Their rise to prominence was about the time he dropped off the radar. Believe me...he's working behind the scenes...somewhere.

I don't know, but remember how Tex crunched his 2500 utility a while back? That impact damage was about the right size and shape to match up with a slow moving Segway being 'nudged' out of the way......
