Ontario (Canada) based flatbed printer technicians

Hi there, hope you're all having a nice evening! Does anyone have any Ontario based flatbed printer technicians they’d recommend? Do they do aftermarket support for older machines?

Can't speak for Fuji, but we've always had our old Canon/Oce Arizona serviced by Canon.
We've had our eye on a ~17yo Oce Arizona but in doing our research are getting feedback that sourcing parts and finding support for it will be a challenge. Seems it has effectively "aged out" of Canon's support. So I was wondering if there are perhaps freelance flatbed techs who'd still be familiar with this machinery even if Canon themselves won't offer the service, or if this is all too pie-in-the-sky?

There must be some freelance guys out there somewhere. Which model is it? Ours is a 12 year old 318gl, and Canon still gives us great support.

Try calling Ron at we repair printers canada 647-741-1189. I used him to set up our printer for a move and he is pretty professional and he told me he services flatbeds through out Canada and the US. He is Mississauga based.

Ok, your experience with Canon sounds promising ! We don't currently own a flatbed - we've just started "shopping" for (i.e. looking at) a used machine and a 2009 Oce Arizona 250GT at a fantastic price came up. Because of what I've gathered about difficulty finding parts for it and getting it serviced, I am concerned it may be too good to be true or that I am barking up the wrong tree by considering something that old. To be clear, we do prefer older models of printers - I don't care about all the bells & whistles on newer machines; what I want is a workhorse that prints bread-and-butter products like coroplast and foamcore, CMYK double-sided. And we 100% do not want a conveyor-based printer. We want a fixed vacuum table with moving head.
