Orca 1 60" Laminator

This might be an odd question, but here goes... We have an Orca 1 60" laminator with minimal paperwork on how to use it. The rollers that the laminate go onto have little teeth one them that I have always adjusted to make sure they are gripping the core evenly, but it seems like I shouldn't have to adjust them- like maybe the teeth should be grabbing the core and rotating to grip tightly. Anyone had experience with this design to let me know what's up? Thanks in advance!
