So i just got this strange effect:
When i cut on my Summa S2 T 140 through Summa Winplot everything is just perfect.
But when i use Summa Cutter Control for i-cutting it "overcuts"? (not sure what to call it)
These letters are 7 mm high (0.27 inches)

I have no clue as to where to start looking for a fix.
It's the third company i work for with this setup, but i never had this problem

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Got it. Yeah, i-cut was my father's invention and product before he sold it to Esko/Kongsberg.

What compensation mode are you running? It looks like you have something going on with compensation and it's throwing off the scale.

Cool!
I-cut is a great invention :notworthy:

Summa Cutter Control says "0,45 mm"
This is my third workplace with this exact setup, and i never had this problem.
That's why i never thought of checking it before.
(And cutting works like it should with Summa Winplot)

My support guy has promised to get back to me about this several times, but nothing....
So i thought i'd ask here.

Places with Overcut setting, you can put it to '0'.
Summa Cutter Control -> Menu -> Overcut: Set to 0
In GoSign, in your setting

Set this to 0 as well.

What other settings could automatically add an overcut when all these overcuts settings has been set to 0?

Opticut: OptiCut increases the cutting quality in case the knife is worn-out or not calibrated correctly.
OptiCut is default set to off. Set this to off in Cutter Control

Panelling: Set to Off in Cutter Control

Hope this helps.

If your overcut is set to 0.45mm, that is your issue. The overcut should be set to 0.1mm. It's possible you could be thinking about the knife offset value for the drag knife cutters, which would be 0.43mm on the 36 degree drag blades, but those values do not apply to the tangential models. I would also use Winplot or GoSign software to send the cut files to your cutter if you can. The only exception would be if you were using barcode workflow automation without a compatible RIP like Onyx.

We bought the system used, and that was how it was setup.
The three Summa systems i have worked with before all worked perfectly,
so i never really looked at the numbers
