Question overspray on komatex

i have had 2 instances in the last week, where i get overspray printing on 3 mm white komatex with my mutoh vj1617h.
i have never noticed this before but rarely print on a solid white background, so this would probably not show itself

i increased heat & reduced fan speed to minimum which MADE IT LESS OBVIOUS.
we don't seem to get this with other materials, vinyl, coro, photo paper

does komatex not have a suitable corona coating (or less of one?) is that why it is generally $5 per sheet cheaper than the other pvc sheets? not suitable for direct printing?

you get that a lot with static. What's the humidity in the room where the printer is?

i did not check the humidity, adam, but the way it has been raining, imagine i was printing in borneo during the rainy season

i will bring in the amprobe humidity gun.

we wipe with alcohol then anti static spray first...
