I thought this would be fun to see how many miles you have on your HP5500's Also to see how much usage we can get out of them.

Who has the most ink & media square footage?

If you don't know how to check: Printer Setup Menu, Utilities, Usage, Print

Here is one of ours
Media Usage = 60,551 sf
UV Ink Usage = 58,874 ml

Thats my original one, I double my speed by adding a second used one a few years ago. Mostly paper.

I bought my 5500uv new, and have only used uv inks.
Don't know why it shows any dye ink usage, unless it wasn't
really new from the dealer. Hmmmmm

Media Usage 16,358 sq ft
Dye Ink Usage 9,163 ml
UV Ink Usage 4,115 ml

mines at 38382.84 sf.

slowly stopped using it and now I think she's fried.. needs about $2000 worth of parts not sure if we're going to fix it or not.

Sorry to be a thread pirate, but I am wondering what kind of quality you can get out of these machines? Can you get real high photo quality prints?

Are ICC profiles more important on an aqueous printer? I know on my Roland, I have like 2 profiles that I use. Do they need to be matched specifically with each material you use?

I just found out ours is up for grabs if anyone is interested. We were going to fix it but are going to move more High quality stuff to the flatbed..

I Love this machine It's truly a work-horse I've had this machine since 2005.
I service her myself. 1 belt change just last week up and running perfectly well almost- I 'm now getting a error code 0f0100038d01c7
anyone have a clue what it means please feel free to let me know PS it still runs with error code.:cool1:
