and 2 significantly different sizes.... probably just the angle but her right leg looks massive compared to her left.

That's merely a lesson in perspective. Things closer to you will look larger, while same size objects further back will be smaller, which can also effect color, but a legs width apart is not going to effect the coloring that much as shown in the photo. I think she forget to put her right stocking on that day. :Oops:
