We had a gentleman working for our local utility, his insulated bucket was mistakenly loaded with the wrong hydraulic fluid. His truck grounded out, blew off one arm and one leg. He got a desk job for the utility and worked well into retirement. His title was something along the lines of safety manager...
well. who would know more?

back in the 80's i was doing a repair on a LOW CURRENT (not really dangerous) 25kv circuit.
i got what i considered a mild shock (hurt like hell!)

i remember that the soles of my feet BURNED for about 10 days afterwards.

2000 volts is the real danger area. (microwave ovens, copiers, etc ELECTRIC CHAIR)

a range that is really great for stopping the heart

Right, not just that, if the higher ups start giving kickback on any given piece of equipment, send old Horace down and he can pop his arm off and throw it on their desk while asking what have they given to this company!

I've been zapped a lot with 120V over the years for various reasons, but the worst shock of my life came from choking up too far on an electro-pounce (pen) I was probably in 8th grade or so and it felt like the hulk came up behind me, grabbed me by my ribs and shook me. Afterwards, I figured out what happened and I had little holes in all my fingertips on the opposite hand where I was leaned up against the easel.
