When I print the cut line is not where it is supposed to be. I take the following steps to correct it. Reload the media, do an env match, do a test print/cut, and then match the settings on the test to the printer. The settings I am shown on the test print/cut are that feed should be +.2 and scan should be -.1.
I will then print something out (a simple oval to cut out), and the cut line is not where it should be. I have to adjust the scan setting to +.4 and then it is lined up correctly in that dimension.
On top of that, the cut line will start off fine on the first items printed, but it will be off on items elsewhere. I don't ever remember it being off as much as it is now and I'm only printing about 35" of material so it's not like it has much of a chance to move around.
Does this sound like a crooked feed problem? An encoder problem? I've cleaned the encoder strip and nothing changed, it prints fine. I also reloaded the media multiple times thinking it might not have equal tension.
Since we've had the machine, the media has wandered slowly towards the side of the machine where the print heads are. Probably about 1/2" after printing 30 feet of material, so we'd have to reload the media every 30-40 feet of stuff we printed. To me this doesn't seem normal.
I know I have a few issues listed here, I'm trying to find out which ones are real issues and which are not.
Thanks!
EDIT: Sorry, this is on a Roland SP-300v using VersaWorks.
