Printing black over chrome silver

Hi,

I am printing black over chrome silver to make a decal for some cars and I ran into this issue when I printed them off.

does anyone know how to fix this, what happened, and what I need to do differently?

Looks like your media isn't compatible with your inkset. What chrome material are you using?

I am using a gerber chrome silver II foil with a black gerber foil over top using a gerber edge 2. Printing on oracal 651

I don't think chrome silver foil can be overprinted. You'll have to turn off the overprint on your black so that it's printing directly on the vinyl. If you have registration issues, the trap the black with the chrome.

What Joe said and you may want to print the black on a darker setting. I usually print on chrome vinyl, though even edge printable chrome vinyls can have issues too.

You might want to try a primer if your machine is equipped.

Print the black first then overprint the chrome.

This. Remake your file, and have the chrome overprint the black instead (use choke and spread in Omega).
