Printing Yamaha Yellow ?

I've been at this for about a week , I've printed 2 color charts and can't seem to get the color I want .

I am attaching a picture hoping someone has a value I can use that is close to it ?

Found this formula online for Munsell Yellow

C: 0
M: 17.6
Y: 100
K: 4.3

Of course it will be dependent on both your media and printer calibration but hopefully it'll get you closer to the mark.

Thanks , What mode under quality do you print this ? I normally print in Mas Impact .

We haven't used a Roland since we got our Epson, but I think Max Impact might skew those numbers a little as it tries to optimize bright colours from memory.
See how it looks in that mode otherwise try Sign&Display which should be a bit closer to 'accurate' colour.

How do I move it up to a % ? in versaworks ?

I would edit the colour values in your design software. Far easier than fiddling with VersaWorks.

You are probably going to have to double strike it to really lay down some ink.

Try rgb instead of cmyk. 206,150,1 might be close enough to get a running start at it.

Thanks , I tried that and it's coming out more of a goldish color .

All I did was copy and paste photo into signlab and then use th eyedropper tool to give me rgb values. I have found for me at least in the past that working in rgb instead of cmyk is much more on point.

Thanks for trying . I'm just not sure if there is a solution for this ... maybe it's time to give up

eyedrop it in RGB color space, modern printers are capable to print much more than CMYK
