Need Help Reflective vinyl wrap

So our wrapper who has been wrapping for ten years recently had to wrap a motorcycle with red reflective air release. But the curves distorted the properties of the reflective and made it look bad. Is there a way to wrap reflective on a motorcycle tank fender etc. that won't distort or break up the reflective? He says he is willing to learn how if anyone knows of a way.

It definitely has limitations compared to standard wrap vinyl. For complex curves, it just cannot get there like standard wrap vinyl can.

i would be plotting a field of hexagons and then wrapping that. any distortion would be uniform.

I think the fenders will be Okay, but the tank, not so much.

This is one of those jobs to just say no to. Maybe sell him on a standard wrap with reflective overlays, but that’s as far as I would push it.

I agree with this. Arlon's IllumiNITE Wrap can be stretched further than standard wrap reflective without "bruising". It also self heals. The other don't from what I've seen. Of course this all depends on how much you're stretching it. It still has limitations. I would be doing a motorcycle in several pieces or sections depending on the complex curves.
