I know of three other businesses using the name we do, all started after we did and even one is in kansas with us
Another one in another state has some issues coming, as we have received communications of them about to be sued for trademark infringement, and since they are using our name we have been notified and cleared of the matter! just a smiled when i found out about it, man, just smirked again thinking about it now....lmao
as far as i know, a dba is nothing, your legal filing with the IRS will be your personal name, not a business name. Once you step up to a LLC, then your name becomes protected and cant be used within the state here, move up again to a Inc. and then it goes national and then you have some ground to stand on
