Removing the Branding, but not the Tech

While I can't speak for everyone, I do think it's not necessarily the branding of it all, but the tech itself. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe they just need to come up with a different logo and everything will be jake. I dunno.

I don't see this going away though anytime soon, regardless if the tech is proven or not. Way too many people have way too much money invested in it to just have it disappear.

I find it hilarious that Notepad is a vector for malware now, between "AI" and being able to render Markdown correctly without user input first. Article

I do think that exploit has been fixed regarding Markdown, but with the introduction of "AI" and having to connect to outside servers, there is always going to be that vector. A simple text editor that has been around since the 9X days is now one of many vectors in the system.

While I get the fact that you are coming from the sarcasm bent, it is much less about fascination as compared to concern. Concern about tooling that most on here depend on, at least in part, for their livelihood. Which has been steadily going downhill for at least the last 15-16 yrs. Although part of the reason why I think we are here is due to customer apathy. While I have aged out of being in the key demo for a lot of things, I still have on average enough time left that this is still a concern, if I was at or close enough in my mind to retirement (or my own EOL), honestly, I may be apathetic myself. I don't necessarily know.

Ironically, that isn't that far off. Bing Chat is what most non paying plebs are essentially using with copilot if I recall correctly.
