RFPs, State & Federal Contracts

Anyone do business with their local, state or federal government? Where is a good place to start bidding. Total newbie to bidding on contracts for Wraps, decals, lettering, ect.

I have received emails from companies for bidding on contracts but it was way out of my league then. Now we are in a better position to pursue these forms of income.

I am finding sites where you pay a fee to get your foot in the door. Scams?

Our town will post RFQ's on their website. Your's might do the same. Only takes a couple minutes to check.
If you do bid make sure you read and understand all the specs and make sure the signage conforms.
One tiny thing out of place or missed and you're out. You will not be notified either.

I am skeptical about the businesses that say they help you find Gov't contracts. The old fashioned way I know is to just use each entity's website portal to bid. Seems like every state, county, and city have one. Then there's school districts, universities, and individual departments.

Then you have not even began to bid at the federal level. Here's a place to start with that:

RFI,RFQ,ITB requirement?
NAICS codes?
