rip and print settings not saved

I was always pretty sure that Flexi saved the print information from the previous job if it were saved to your hard drive. I now find that when I open a previously printed job that it has the same print properties of the last job printed, which is not right. What could have changed in my settings? I can't even think how I changed it unknowingly. Very strange

Check your Rip & Print preferences.
Make sure "Always keep Rip & Print settings" is checked.

Yes it is set correctly. I just finished printing something very small and I actually used a 2 pass. I then opened a previously saved file and in the rip and print it is still set for 2 pass bidirectional which is also wrong as I printed uni.
