I have a CJ500 that I am converting to solvent ink.
While I am waiting for the parts to arrive, can I use this unit as a plotter WITHOUT THE INK CARTRIDGES INSTALLED?
I got the unit without cartridges, and have it all cleaned up ready for the conversion. I would like to check out the plotter but the machine wont get past turning on. Then it requests ink be loaded. Is there a work around some where in the manual?
