Question Roland LEJ-640FT No Roland Support

We have a Roland LEJ-640FT is that is at least ten years old and currently is not working. Roland will not service machine or answer anything more than basic questions about machine. Our current Printer Tech has worked on the machine and diagnosed many issues on it and repaired them. Currently the machine is blowing small fuses. Tech has tried to chase the issue but have not been able to resolve. I can give more details about the issues with the machine if needed but... Question is, does any printer techs actually work on these machines anymore? Depending on price does anyone want to come to Meridian, Idaho and work on it with the confidence to at least get it running again? Is it even worth it at this point considering how old the machine is and the issues Roland has with these machines in the first place? Sorry if this is vague on the issues but just trying to see what our options are. Thank you!

Blowing mainboard fuses can be down to a number of things. The first to try are replacing the short head cables, if this doesn't work then the long cables from the print carriage board to mainboard. Failing this print carriage board. It can also be down to a shorted head. if none of these fix it then the problem is on the mainboard. I do repairs and diagnosis on the mainboards. I'm in the UK but work worldwide by mail order for the board repairs if needed.

Thank you for replying. I know that our tech has replaced some of these parts but I will get with him and confirm. Will ask about repairing of mainboard. Thank you

No problem. If you find out what has been tried so far it may give more indication of the likely cause. Was the printer printing ok before the fuses started blowing? The tech should have tested the heads for shorts so is less likely to be that
