you have to start printer in update mode. press and hold up, left, down and press power. then the software will communicate with the printer

No, dont work. Get no cummunication with the printer when I use PECK 5. Now I have PECK 7 and it works -> Rear switch ON --> Front switch Off.

Why isn't it peck available anywhere for download. Could someone please shoot me a link. Also looking for older version of VP firmware and or if you know how to re-install a corrupted firmware which is on the latest version. Roland Updater just says you are on the latest version, go away.

You have to go into service level on the printer and change it there. Before you proceed.

What model printer do you have?
if you have an SP-540i or SP-300i , version 2.8 is the current version.
you have to change the model in the service mode
