Hi Folks I’m just wondering if you’ve ever encountered this the cyan has light shades across the print it’s not banding but just lighter parts it happens on every print of solid colour as you can see I’ve printed all other colours with no problems we’ve even changed the print head but no joy any ideas would be gratefully received thanks

Damper failing?? Go into service menu, arrow down to test print, go down to full, and do a print from there and post image.
Also a test print using the test print button.

Same print again. I’ve checked the damper and it’s ok.

Could it be media related? Have you tried different medias to see, as I know due to the whole Worldwide supply chain problem, there are some manufacturers that have slightly changed the composition of their products. Just a thought. Another suggestion would be to play around with your settings, maybe more heat or less speed may assist. You could also change the ink cartridge, however I don't think it is that. And my last suggestion is as mentioned before, change the dampers and cap tops.

Thanks for all your advice. Regarding the media we have tried this on all different vinyls and this actual print is on banner material. I’ll try to clean everything associated with the cyan line to see if this helps. I’ll keep you updated. Thanks.

Looks like an overlap issue. Had something similar when I had my SP540V. There's a service menu to access the print patterns to check overlap. Don't ask me how or where to get to it though. I sold the printer three years ago.

You also said you replaced the head or heads. There is an alignment procedure for those which is where I would start. Again, that would be found in the service menu.

Head bathroom cleaner.
Is that banner media?
If so unroll enough off the roll to do the job. I get light lines with new roll of banner and the printer having to pull it off the roll.
