Roland VG2 end rollers will not engage

When the lever is pressed down to engage the rollers, the end rollers slide freely side to side and only the middle rollers work. Does anyone know of an adjustment or easy fix for this problem.

perhaps a setscrew came loose and the arm is out of "timing" so it moves offset but doesn't find a home position

Most of the time, the roller holders are broken and need replacement. The springs of the outer rollers are much stronger and the plastic part, holding there rollers is too weak.

It is both of the end rollers, so I do not think that both are broken.

Sorry, it's a VG2 with a motorized middle roller mechanism.
You have to troubleshoot the lever mechanism.
