running a black foil with an awful smell to it

I can't remember where I got the refill roll and it has white plastic cores.

I ran out of Duracoat and in a frenzy found this roll so decided to use it.

I am digitally printing and cutting on both Graphtec and Summa as well as my Envision all at once and I start to smell a sour milky odour and start wandering around smelling my equipment for fear of something overheating or worse burning.

I get to the Edge and sure enough it is this black cartridge. I removed the cartridge and man does it reak!!!

I think it might be zero nine but wonder if this is normal for their foils.

I use zero nine foils a lot of the time and have certainly used black and I have never noticed any smell. Zeronine refills do have a white plastic core but so do signfoils which I use as well, I was told once that they were made in the same factory anyway but I never had this confirmed but neither give any strange smells.
